Warner's Latinx Heritage month
2D FRAME BY FRAME ANIMATION AND CLEAN UP DIGITAL
In this Warner spot, I participated with a fragment in traditional frame by frame animation, where there are 360 camera movements and various characters.
At the end I animated it in Adobe After Effects. This is the final product.
Now let's see on detail my part in this video.

Character rough Animation.
Frame by frame
Based in a vector illustration, here I defined the volume and interaction of characters.
Background and elements Rough Animation.

The illustration had a bunch of little elements, so I separated each by colours to not get crazy in the camera movement.
360 Turn around.

One of the most challenging parts of this video, the 360 grades turn around had to mix all the elements and characters in complete harmony
Timing.

This is the complete rough scene, Here I adapted the timing of the entire animation to the limit duration requested by the client
3D camera deep simulation

For this character I made something different, I simulated in After Effects the curve and proportions of camera movement travelling around the character.
Final version
Rough animation
After finishing rough animation, the challenge was make it look like the vector illustration reference, so I animated the whole scene in After Effects.
And this is the final animation, but the scene had a time limit and everything went too fast, so this is my own version with a better timing.

Gach is an animation artist based in Bogotá, Colombia, whose passion for storytelling through animation has shaped a diverse and evolving career. With a background in film and TV studies, Gach always gravitated toward animation, driven by a desire to blend artistic expression with technical skill.In 2005, Gach made his mark with his debut animated short film, Telaraña, a unique fusion of 2D digital animation and Clay-Motion techniques. This innovative work marked the beginning of his journey in the animation industry, where he honed his craft across various disciplines, including compositing, character animation, and concept art.In 2024, Gach introduces his latest project, Gato Voyagero, launching the first episode of a web series of animated short films, winning his first animation short film award at the end of the year.
